SLR Grade 80 eye bolts are manufactured from grade 80 alloy steel which is suitable for a lifting application. These type of alloy steel lifting eyes offer a higher working load limit for equivalent size when compared to the zinc plated DIN580 type.
ALWAYS:
• Make sure the eye bolt is fully tightened before use and has sufficient thread length.
• Check the collar of eye bolt is sitting evenly on the contact surface.
• Make sure the eye bolt is positioned correctly before attempting the lift.
• Check the condition of your eye bolt and the relevant wear points before use.
NEVER:
• Exceed the marked working load limit
• Force the eye bolt into position
• Modify or weld the eye bolt. This will affected the WLL
• Use a damaged or worn eye bolt
Inspection by a competent person should take place at least every 12 months and even more frequently when the components are used in severe operating conditions.
